Indian Premier League is one of the biggest T-20 tournaments in the world and every player be it Indian or International wants to play in this tournament. The IPL is not only rewarding as far the cash riches are concerned but it is also known for its crazy audience and knowledgeable fans. While some of the players like Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni have for the majority of their IPL careers have played for one team, there are few players who keep moving teams and in this list we cast a look at five such cricketers who have moved the most IPL teams.

Aaron Finch – Teams played for – 8

Aaron Finch made a quip last time the Indian team toured Australia that he was player that keeps on moving IPL teams and in jest added that he hadn’t played for RCB, to which Tim Paine enquired if Kohli didn’t like him? To which Finch said no one seems to like him because of which he keeps moving. Finch started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals before moving to then Delhi Dare Devils. After his stint at Delhi he moved to Pune Warriors where he was the captain during the famous 175 Chris Gayle Innings. Post the stint at Pune he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. Finch then played two seasons for the short lived Gujarat Lions before moving to Kings Xi Punjab. Finch finally had his dream fulfilled of playing with Kohli as he played for RCB during the IPL 2020 season.

Yuvraj Singh – Teams Played for – 6

The start of the 2007 T-20 world cup and one of the finest cricketers India had produced. Yuvraj began his IPL career with home side Kings XI Punjab, whom he happened to the captain as well. He moved to Pune Warriors India whom he captained for a period of time which coincided with the worst time for Yuvraj personally as he was coming back from his battle with cancer. He then had stints at Bangalore and Delhi before moving onto Hyderabad where he won the IPL in 2016. Yuvraj made a short-lived emotional return to Punjab before finishing his IPL career with Mumbai Indians where he was part of the squad which won the title in 2019.

Dinesh Karthik – teams played for -6

The live-wire wicket keeper has been one of the most well known players in the IPL due to his batting skills and his fluent wicket keeping. Karthik was part of a star studded Delhi Line up when he began in 2008. Karthik then moved to Kings Xi Punjab after having played for Delhi for 3 seasons. A year later he was on his way to Mumbai where he played two seasons and winning the title in 2013. 2014 saw Kartik go back to Delhi for a season which followed a one year stint with RCB. Karthik then played two seasons for the Gujarat Lions before finally moving east to Kolkata where he was the captain till the middle of last season before he stepped down and made way for Morgan as the captain.

Parthiv Patel – teams played for -5

The recently retired diminutive Indian wicket-keeper batsman began his IPL career with Chennai Super Kings where he played for three seasons and won the title in 2010. He then moved to Kochi for the only season the state of Kerala saw IPL action, post which he moved to Deccan Chargers and was retained by the new assembled Sunrisers Hyderabad after Deccan Chargers had been dissolved. Parthiv then played a season for RCB before moving to Mumbai where Parthiv played three seasons and won two IPL titles. He then returned to RCB where he played for three seasons with 2020 being his last where did not get a single game to play.

Ishant Sharma was the hottest pick of the IPL 2008 auction after his exploits in Australia, KKR nabbed the young seamer for a huge price and Ishant played for the KKR outfit for 3 years. Ishant then moved to Hyderabad where he first played for Deccan Chargers for two years and another two years with the rechristened Hyderabad outfit now called Sunrisers Hyderabad. Ishant played a season each for Pune and Punjab before he had to miss a season of IPL because none of the franchisees picked him. Ishant finally came home to Delhi and has been playing for them since then.
