The Indian and English teams are preparing for the 3rd test match of the 5 match series. The third test is slated to begin on Wednesday at the Headingley ground at Leeds. The Indian team is 1-0 up in the series after winning the 2nd test match at Lord’s by 151 runs. The first test match at Nottingham finished in a tame draw due to rain playing a spoilsport on the final day. The Lord’s test match was not only explosive with the bat and ball but also for the verbals between the two teams during the ill tempered match.
The story as it happened –
The 2nd test match was an ill tempered one with players from both sides getting involved in a slanging match. The drama started late on day 3 after Jasprit Bumrah peppered James Anderson with a few short balls. The English bowler wasn’t too amused at what happened and had a fair exchange with the Indian quick. More drama ensued on day four and five as the English bowlers and Indian batsmen were involved in a battle of wits. The English bowlers tried to intimidate the Indian lower order with short balls but the 9th wicket pair of Bumrah and Shami added 89 runs to swell India’s lead and lead them to a memorable win.

It is no secret that James Anderson and the Indian team have never gotten along. The bowler has been at constant loggerheads with the Indian team. While he may a legend on the field for his bowling, his conduct on it and off it leaves much to be desired about. Recently post the 2nd test match got over a shocking video involving James Anderson has come to light. The video dates back to 2019 during the infamous Mankading incident between Ashwin and Buttler during IPL 2019. The English fast bowler is seen shredding a photo of Indian test ace Ravichandran Ashwin with a glee on his face. The video was posted by a cricket fan on twitter while also lambasting the Englishman and the English players for their apparent disrespect for other’s while expecting respect.
