Sachin Tendulkar – India

The best batsman to have played the game of cricket is India’s own Sachin Tendulkar and he has taken the world by storm ever since he made his international debut for India aged 16, by the time he hung up his boots he had played 200 games and scored 15921 runs with 51 centuries and 68 fifties at an average of 53.7

Ricky Ponting – Australia

The closest competitor to Sachin Tendulkar was the Australian captain Ricky Ponting who was scoring runs at a break neck in the middle of the 2000’s. Ponting played 168 games scoring 13378 runs with 41 hundreds and 62 half centuries and had a average of 51.8

Jacques Kallis – South Africa

The best all rounder to have ever played the game of cricket is South African Jacques Kallis who could not only bat as well as any of the top batsmen of his era but could also bowl quick and was a safe fielder in the slips. Kallis played 166 test matches scoring 13289 runs with 45 hundreds and 589 fifties at an average of 55.3 in a career spanning 18 years.

Rahul Dravid – India

Nicknamed The Wall as he could blunt out the best bowlers for an entire day without breaking a sweat or appearing to be bored the right hander from Karnataka who batted number 3 for India played 164 tests for India scoring 13288 runs with 36 centuries and 63 half centuries at an average of 52.3 which speaks marvels about the tall run scoring feats he achieved.

Alastair Cook – England

Cook is considered the best ever batsman England has ever produced and he is one of the very few players to have a scored a test century in his debut test and final test and what it makes it rare is he did it against the same opposition India. Cook played 161 games for England scoring 12472 runs with 33 centuries and 57 half centuries with a career average of 45 opening the innings all his life for England, which is no mean feat.
