Bharat Army engages in a funny banter with Barmy Army over Virat Kohli

It has been two glorious days of cricket for India as they have taken the upper hand in the 5th test at Birmingham. The final test of the series which began in 2021 has seen, India led by Bumrah show their class so far with the bat and ball. The battle on the field is engrossing as both the teams are trying to outdo each other. There is also a banter going off the field which is taking funny turn. The battle of the army’s or fan support in this case.

The story as it happened –

England has a terrific fan base whether they play at home or tour abroad in the form of Barmy Army. Considered the 12th man for England, Barmy Army have gotten under the skins of many teams and players with their chants and tongue in cheek humor. Barmy Army took to twitter and posted a picture of Kohli with the imprints “Kohli’s gone” and captioned the picture with the words YESSSSSSS.

Bharat Army responds in style –

It was a rain interrupted 2nd day at Edgbaston, but in whatever time was available the Indian team took a firm upper hand. At the close of play, England were 83 for 5 with Bairstow and Stokes in the middle. England still trail by 333 runs after having lost half their side. The moment of the day came when Root got an under-edge while trying to cut Siraj. He was caught by Pant for 31 and the Indian team and fans went delirious, that’s when Bharat took to twitter. The Indian fan base put up a picture Kohli with the inscription “Roots Gone” and captioned it by saying “that’s how we move”

India on top at the end of day 2 –

India took a firm grip of the game at the end of day 2 with 5 wickets down for the English side. With the constant rain, the pitch has taken a beating during the course of the day. India scored 416 all out and have England at 83 for 5 at the end of the day.
