England skipper decided to call time on his career
England cricket is on the verge of losing one of their greats. Eoin Morgan the 36 years old has been a great in the white ball format. He has overseen the Renaissance of England white ball cricket. Under his leadership, England’s have won the world cup title in 2019 and have become the most feared team in the world.

According to the reports, England white ball skipper Eoin Morgan is on the verge of calling time on his international career. "If I don’t think I am good enough or I don’t feel I am contributing to the team, then I will finish. I would love to work like that but the way my body is at the moment, I can’t work like that. If I injured myself tomorrow and it was going to be quite a prolonged injury then I wouldn’t be doing the team and myself any favours if I still held a commitment to finish at a certain point.
Morgan's career in a nutshell -
Eoin Morgan started his career playing for Ireland. He then shifted his loyalty to England and was in and out of the side. He played under the likes of Strauss, Pietersen, Root and Alistair Cook. Morgan was given charge of the team ahead of the 2015 World Cup in Australia. England were knocked out before the quater final stage by Bangladesh. Post which there was a whole new generation of white ball players who came to the fore. The likes of Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow became household names. Ben stokes, Jofra Archer are some of the names who made it big under Eoin Morgan.
Morgan has played 248 ODI games and scored 7701 and with an average of 39. 14 centuries and 47 half centuries. He has also played 16 tests scoring 700 runs. He is part of the commentary booth for the ongoing England and New Zealand test series
