The teams are getting busy with their retention and releases which they have to submit before the 5PM on 15th November. Ahead of the tournament next year the league is already seeing some names either pull out or decide not put their names up for auction.

The story so far –

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the 31 year old said “have taken the tough decision that I wont be taking part in the next IPL @KKRiders . looking to focus on longer format cricket at the start of the English summer @Kentcricket. Thank you so much for the opportunity @KKRiders! Loved every minute of it. An amazing franchise with some brilliant people, hopefully see you again in the future”

Sam Billings has played 30 matches in the IPL for a few different teams and was with the KKR for TATA IPL 2022 season. In those 30 games, Billings scored 503 runs with 3 half centuries and had a strike rate of 129.
