Incredible effort from Deepti Sharma sends the well set Beth Mooney packing

The Indian women’s team are locked in a proper battle with the Australians for a historic Gold medal match in the Birmingham Commonwealth games. Both teams have come out all guns blazing and showing why they are the two best teams in the tournament. The Indians started well with the ball and have taking wickets at regular intervals, while the Aussies are also not backing down and have kept the scoreboard moving despite the wickets.

India’s have been amazing in the field
India have been fielding out of their skins in the gold medal encounter. Earlier Radha Yadav bamboozled Meg Lanning to pull off an amazing run out. She then followed it up with a breathtaking catch at point which saw the back of Tahlia McGrath. It was then Deepti Sharma‘s turn to stun everyone with a spectacular catch running and in-fact diving backwards at long on.

Beth Mooney played a great hand
Beth Mooney was batting quite well and held the Australian innings together scoring 61 off just 41 balls. It was Deepti Sharma’s incredible catch that saw her innings come to an end. Deepti while initially misjudging the ball ran forward before back peddling and diving backwards to pull off a one-handed stunner.
