Watch! Cricket fans lose their mind after Umran Malik’s 151 KPH dismisses Shanto
India and Bangladesh locked horns on Wednesday at the Sher – E- Bangla stadium at Mirpur. This was the same venue that India had lost the 1st game by 1 wicket to the hosts on Sunday. The result meant that Bangladesh came into the game armed with a healthy 1-0 lead.
The Indian team were hoping for a better performance in all 3 departments of the game. Thanks to fielding lapses and one dropped catch by KL Rahul, 38 not out by Mehidy Hasan led the home team to a thrilling win.
The story so far –
Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first as Liton Das made one change to the team. Nasum Ahmed came in place of Hasan Mahmud, while India made two changes to their side. Shahbaz Ahmed gave way to the fit again Axar Patel, while Kuldeep Sen was replaced by Umran Malik.
Malik’s rocket disturbs the timber –
Umran Malik made his ODI debut for India during the recent tour of New Zealand. The 23 year old is known for his fiery pace with the ball. Malik was called in as the replacement after Mohammad Shami was ruled out of the series due to injury.
Nazmul Shanto was out for a 1st ball duck in the last game, on Wednesday he saw Shakib Al Hasan get unsettled by the pace of Malik. Shanto tried to make room and hit Malik only to see his off stump take a beating and get uprooted. The ball was clocked at 151 KPH which sent the commentators and fans excited.
Bangladesh in early trouble after Siraj strikes twice –
Mohammad Siraj continued to show his impressive white ball form for India as he got the wickets of Anamul Haque and Liton Das. Haque began by hitting Siraj for 2 fours in 2 balls. The 3rd ball saw, Haque get a life when Rohit Sharma dropped the catch and was injured in the process.
The 4th ball, though Haque wasn’t lucky as the ball came in and the batter was given out LBW despite going for the DRS. Liton Das got an amazing ball as Siraj got one to come into the batter. Das went for a drive only to hear death rattle and was out for 7.
