Watch! Hasan Ali gets into fisticuff with fans during a local game in Pakistan

 

Cricket may be known as the gentleman’s game but the players playing it are humans too. This face gets forgotten a lot of times as the crowds start to misbehave with the players when they are near the stars.

Crowd behavior and Pakistan are not something which is unusual. The crowd in Pakistan can turn around in an instant and can make a cricketer feeling a million bucks or downbeat in a matter of second. Discarded Pakistani player Hasan Ali learnt this during a local game of cricket.

Fan seen taunting Hasan Ali from the crowd –

Hasan Ali has been out of the Pakistani scheme of things for a while now. The 28 year old last played for nation during the 2022 Asia Cup which was held in UAE. Ali was fielding near the boundary when one fan from the crowd went crazy.

One fan could be heard saying in Punjabi about the dropped catch by Hasan Ali during the 2021 T20 World Cup. The then 27 year old had come under heat from the fans for dropping Matthew Wade in the semi-finals of the world cup last year. Wade hit 3 sixes of 3 balls to win the game for the Australians and then  win the world cup for the 1st time.


Ali nearly comes to blows with the fan –

There was a second video which showed few words being exchanged between Ali and the fans. The fast bowler then made a mad dash to the fan and it is unclear if any blow was landed. The player was then pulled back by his team mates and a few people from the security as the fans could be heard showing their displeasure with the behavior of the fan heckling at Hasan Ali.

Hasan Ali’s international numbers –

The 28 year old made his ODI and T20 debut in 2016, while making his long format debut year later. Ali played a crucial role in the Pakistan win during the ICC champions trophy in 2017.

Till now Ali has played 21 test picking 77 wickets with a best of 5/27 and has picked 6 fivem wicket hauls and 1 ten wicket hauls. He has played 60 ODI games picking 91 wickets and 60 wickets in 50 T20 games. Ali wasn’t part of the Pakistan side which read the finals of the T20 world cup losing England.
