Watch! Ishan Kishan and Axar Patel engaged in funny moment as Internet reacts

India came into the 2nd ODI against Zimbabwe after having won the first ODI on Thursday at Harare. KL Rahul won the toss yet again and elected to bowl first yet again. Many were surprised with this move as there was one more surprise in store as Deepak Chahar was replaced by Shardul Thakur in the line up. Zimbabwe too made two changes to their line up. At the end of the day nothing mattered as the home team were bowled out for a mere 161 by India.

The story as it happened –

Indian bowlers were making short work of the Zimbabwe batters as they had the home team in trouble yet again. Ryan Burl joined Sean Williams and the two wearing trying to bring some respect to the Zimbabwe total. that’s when a funny incident happened in the field of play. Burl played the ball down to the boundary and Ishan Kishan was seen fielding the ball. The 24 year old fielded the ball and lobbed the ball back to the wicket keeper. Much to the surprise of many Axar Patel who was crouched to avoid the throw got hit by the ball. Patel couldn’t believe it and for a moment was visibly angry as Ishan Kishan saw the funny side.

Zimbabwe bowled out for 161 –

Put into bat first, Zimbabwe never got going with the bat against the disciplined Indian bowling attack. Kaitano who made his way into the side was out for 7, while Kaia was out for 16 as Thakur and Siraj made early in roads. Thakur struck again when he had the captain Chakabva out for 2 as Krishna got rid off Madhvere for 2 as well. Williams with 42 and Burl with 39 not out were the top scorers for Zimbabwe. Shardul Thakur was the top wicket taker for India with 3 as, rest of the bowlers, Kuldeep, Krishna, Siraj, Axar and Hooda picked a wicket each while two batters were run out. Zimbabwe ended their innings for 161 which is yet another below par total.
