Watch! Jasprit Bumrah takes a spectacular catch to get rid of Ben Stokes

It is been an interesting passage of play on day three with both India and England exchanging blows with the bat and ball. England began the day on 84 for 5 trailing India’s first innings total of 416 by a massive 332 runs. At the middle for England were, Bairstow and Stokes two of the most destructive batsmen for England. The Indian bowlers were looking for a quick way to dislodge the batsmen in the crease.

Ben Stokes given life on two occasions –

Ben Stokes came out with the intention to attack right off the bat like he had in the previous series against New Zealand. He was charging down the track and having his way with the bowling. He first was dropped when he hit a skier off Shami and Shardul thakur fluffed his lines to drop an easy catch. It was an easy catch but Thakur failed to judge it and dropped a sitter. Next life was given when he charged down the track to Thakur and he was dropped by Bumrah.

Indian captain takes a stunner to get rid of his counterpart –

It was redemption time for team India as Stokes again charged down the track to see Bumrah dive to his left to grab a stunner. Stokes couldn’t believe it as he was dismissed for 25. The Indian captain was mobbed his team mates as Thakur let out a huge roar half in joy and half as if to thank his stars.

After starting slow, Jonny Bairstow found his groove by going after the Indian bowlers to put the pressure back on the fielding side. Bairstow scored his 24th test 50 for England and was holding fort alongside Sam Billings. At the time of writing this, Bairstow was on 72 off 93 balls along with Billings who was 6 off 14 balls. Stokes had scored 25 off 36 balls with 4 hits to the fence. For India, Bumrah picked 3 wickets while Shami, Siraj and Thakur have picked a wicket each.
