Watch! Virat Kohli gives a special send off to Jonny Bairstow

Virat Kohli might be going through a tough phase with the bat, but the 33 year old hasn’t forgotten or lost his spark. Kohli who was out for 11 in the first dig, was at his fiery best during the 3rd days play at Edgbaston. The entire first half of the day was feisty, entertaining and very fun filled for the two teams and the fans who were playing and watching the game. The fans at home too got the view of a fired up Kohli after a long time.

Bairstow scores a century to remember –

England have adopted as Bazball strategy which comes the Brendon McCullum school of cricket. One of the biggest benefactors of this ideology has been Bairstow. The 32 year from Yorkshire scored 2 back to back centuries in the recent series against the Kiwis. He continued the great form against India when he scored 106 on Sunday. It was his 3rd ton for England in a row. This came after a slow start to the innings, the little confrontation with Kohli seems to have done a lot to his mood as he went after the Indian seamers.

Kohli gives a flying kiss to send off Bairstow –

Bairstow was getting frustrated with the discipline shown by the Indians as he was kept quiet by Shami in particular. Bairstow went for a wild slog and was caught in the slips by Kohli. The 33 year old took the catch in a calm manner and gave Shami a deserved wicket for all his toil. Kohli was quick to send Bairstow back to the hut with a flying kiss for good measure. The Englishman got a standing ovation by the capacity crowd for his amazing innings.

At the time of writing, india were 37 for 1 at tea with Pujara and Vihari in the middle and a lead of 169 with Gill out for 4.
