Ashes 2023: England fans mock Steve Smith after England’s win at Leeds
England won the third test match at Leeds on Sunday to keep the Ashes 2023 alive. The two teams now go into Manchester test with Australia still holding a 2-1 lead. The momentum though is with England, as they won the game on Sunday thanks to Chris Woakes who held his nerves along with Mark Wood during the dying moments of the game. One of the most biggest moment of the Leeds test was the way crowd got behind the English team. The fans at the Western Terraces were seen at their loudest after they got behind the English team and its players.

Australian team has always had to face a lot of heat on and off the field when they tour England. Post the controversy which happened at Lords last week, the whole of England seemed to unite to have a go at the Australians. One player in particular, who has come under fire of the English fans is none other than Steve Smith. The Australian Vice-Captain was playing his 100th test at Leeds.

The English cricket fans are known for their brutal sense of humor towards any opposition. It was evident during the Leeds test as the English fans decided to have a go at Steve Smith who was playing his landmark 100th test.
The fans could be seen wearing a mask of Steve Smith during the 3rd test match Leeds. The mask in question was when Smith, burst into tears at Sydney Airport after the entire Sand-Paper saga. One fan even was seen having Smith’s teary eyed face printed on his T-Shirt. The Cameras panned to the mask wearing fans after England’s win on Sunday.
