7th July is a huge day for every cricket fan, not only Indian fan but also international fans as well. The day marks the birthday of former Indian captain MS Dhoni who turned 42 on Friday. Once the clock struck 12 the former Indian captain who won 3 ICC titles was showered with wishes and love from across the cricketing globe. MS Dhoni, has been a huge name in the annals of cricket. His achievements on the field of play has been exemplary during his 15 year career for India.

MS Dhoni has been known to be a stand up human being and gentleman off the field. The way he interacts with his fans and shows respects to elders has been witnessed time and again. Dhoni also has a large fan following across the border in Pakistan where he made a huge statement in 2006 with his whirlwind batting.

Pakistani actress remembers MSD’s kind act –

India were touring Pakistan in 2006 for a 3 match test and 5 match ODI series. India had lost the test series 1-0, while winning the ODI series 4-1. One of the players who made his name during that tour was MS Dhoni.

Actress Mahira Khan recently told a story where the legend of MS Dhoni is certain to grow. The actress while speaking to a channel recounted “when I was 15 years old, I saw Pakistan and Indian teams in the hotel. I was very excited and went to one Pakistani player and asked him to sign my cap. But he replied “don’t you have any shame? We are having lunch’. I felt very sad but then one cricketer called me and said ‘we are also cricketers, I will sign your cap and that cricketer was MS Dhoni”

Leading his side to 5th IPL title –

Just a few months ago, MS Dhoni donned another feather in his cap when he won the IPL title for the 5th time. Chennai beat Gujarat in the final as they moved on par with Mumbai Indians who had won 5 IPL titles as well.

2024 to be Dhoni’s last year as cricketer?

It was believed TATA IPL 2023 will be the last season for MS Dhoni. Everywhere the CSK skipper went there was love and support for him. During the presentation after the final, MSD said that he will try to play one more season in a bid to show his love and appreciation for the fans.
