IPL 2023: Fan rightly predicts Shanaka as replacement player now drops massive update for KKR fans

 

Cricket fans in India and across the world have witnessed the TATA IPL 2023 season with 5 action packed days of matches. On Tuesday night Delhi Capitals lost yet another game as they lost to Gujarat Titans. The win at Arun Jaitley stadium was 2nd in a row for the defending champs who had beaten CSK in the season opener.

The story so far –

Gujarat Titans came into the game after losing star player Kane Williamson. The Kiwi batting maestro had hurt himself while attempting to take a catch. Williamson fell on his shoulder and hurt himself in the first game against Chennai and did not come out to bat.

Gujarat name replacement for Williamson –

Kane Williamson already has flown back home to New Zealand, leaving Gujarat Titans short. During the game in Delhi, there was massive news for the Titans fans as they signed Sri Lankan white ball captain Dasun Shanaka as a replacement.

Fan rightly predicts the signing of Shanaka –

One fan with the Twitter handle, SED KKR FAN put up a screen shot of Dasun Shanaka following Gujarat Titans. He put up a screenshot of the same and within 4 hours the news was confirmed.

The fan with the handle @KirketXpertt also posted a screenshot of Jason Roy following KKR. The two 2 time champs are short on firepower as far as batting is concerned. Jason Roy has been in and out of the English teams in recent times.

Shreyas Iyer to miss the entire season and WTC final –

Earlier on Tuesday before the game, news came out that, Shreyas Iyer the KKR captain will miss the entire season of IPL. The 28 year old is now set to undergo a surgery on his back, despite earlier reports claiming otherwise. Iyer will also miss the World test championship final.

Sai Sudarshan powers GT to an easy win –

Chasing 163 to win, Gujarat Titans were in trouble when they were but young left hander Sai Sudarhan with 62 not out along with David Miller’s 31* and Vijay Shankar with 29 helped the team to an 6 wicket win with 11 balls to spare.
