IPL 2023: Watch! Naveen Ul Haq’s reaction to Virat Kohli chants

 

Lucknow Super Giants threw the tournament open wide yet again. Krunal Pandya and his men beat Mumbai Indians by 5 runs to move into the 3rd place in the table. The defeat meant that Mumbai Indians now have to win their game against Hyderabad with a huge margin and hope for results of other games to go their way. With this win Lucknow has kept their winning streak against Mumbai Indians alive.

Naveen Ul Haq has become a name to reckon in India after his exploits with the ball so far. The right arm pacer though has found even more fame after his clash with Virat Kohli after the game clash on 1st May against RCB.

Naveen Ul Haq reacts to crowd’s chants –

The crowd at Ekana stadium at Lucknow were in good spirits as they sensed their team near a win. The huge crowd at the stadium saw them Naveen Ul Haq stand close to the boundary. That’s when they started to chant the name of Virat Kohli in a bid to evoke a response. The Afghanistan player though took it sportingly and asked the crowd to keep going at it.

Marcus Stoinis helps LSG reach 177 –

Mumbai bowlers had the home team in trouble early with the score reading 35/3. Behrendorff got the wickets of Deepak Hooda and Mankad off back to back balls. Piyush Chawla struck first ball when he had De Kock out for 16.

Krunal Pandya retired himself out for 49 not out off 42 balls with a four and a six. The star with the bat was Marcus Stoinis who scored 89 not out off 47 balls with 4 fours and 8 sixes. LSG reached 177/3 from their 20 overs as they scored 54 in the last 3 overs.

Mumbai grab defeat from jaws off a win –

Chasing 178 to win, Mumbai made a good start with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan adding 90 runs in 9.4 overs. Rohit scored 37 off 25 balls with a four and 3 sixes, while Kishan scored 59 off 39 balls with 8 fours and a six. The fall of Surya Kumar Yadav cfor 7 and Nehal Wadhera’s slow 19 set Mumbai back. Even though Tim David scored 32 not out off 19 balls, some good death bowling helped LSG win the game by 5 runs.
