IPL 2023: Watch! Shimron Hetmyer plays ‘Flip The Bottle’ in the middle of a game
Its been two weeks since the start of TATA IPL 2023 season and we have witnessed some amazing games. This week, the fans have seen 5 games go down to the wire as each of the games saw last ball finishes. While the games during the long season of TATA Indian Premier League can be taxing, there are different ways the players keep themselves entertained. One of the players in question is none other than Shimron Hetmyer.
The story as it happened –
Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad began their season on 2nd April. The two teams played the game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Hyderabad. Rajasthan Royals had finished the last campaign as the runners up. The 2008 champions began the 2023 season with a whopping 72 run win over the 2016 champions.
Hetmyer keeps the crowd engaged in a hilarious manner –
Former West Indian under-19 world cup winning skipper, Shimron Hetmyer is a huge part of the Rajasthan side. The 26 year old during the game against Hyderabad left everyone in splits.
A video is now doing the rounds where the West Indian could be seen doing the “Flip The Bottle”. He had the company of South African batter, Donovan Ferreira. After two unsuccessful attempts, Hetmyer was able to land the bottle perfectly as the crowd cheered them on.
Massive games ahead for Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad –
The Friday, 14th April will witness Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. After two back to back losses, Aiden Markram led side won the game against Punjab by 8 wickets.
Rajasthan Royals are on cloud 9 as well as they won their 5th game in last 6 meetings versus Chennai Super Kings. Sanju Samson and his men next face Gujarat Titans. This is a repeat of the final from the 2022 season.
