“Let’s have more babies” – Imari Du Plessis to husband Faf on Instagram

While CSK might not be having a great IPL campaign, Faf Du Plessis is probably the only member who can keep his head high. The South African has been in amazing form and barring the last couple of games, he has always been among the runs. While he started the tournament in the middle order, Faf was pushed to the top of the order in the middle of the tournament. This, however, didn’t perturb him one bit and runs have been flowing from his blade.

Du Plessis has had a tough 18 months with the South African team including a dismal showing in the 2019 World Cup. While Kolpak and corruption in the South African board were the main reasons for the Proteas’ poor showing, Du Plessis had to bear the brunt by losing his captaincy in limited-overs.

Things however, have been much better at the domestic front for the stylish cricketer. He married his long term girlfriend Imari in 2013. The couple were blessed with their first child Amelia Du Plessis in 2017. In August this year, Faf and Imari became parents for the second time and welcomed Zoey Du Plessis in their lives.

The former South African ODI captain, shared this news with his fans on Instagram and captioned it, “The Miracle of a new life coming into this world makes me stop and just be in awe of creation and how perfectly and wonderfully we are created. Welcome Zoey to this wonderful world. We will love you unconditionally and I will protect with everything I have. Love you”
