Watch! Sanju Samson smacks huge sixes as he sends reminder to selectors ahead of IPL 2023
Indian Premier League is just 11 days as the 2023 season is set to begin. The 1st game of the season will witness, defending champions Gujarat Titans take on 4 time winners Chennai Super Kings. The first game of the tournament will be played on 31st March, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Sanju Samson gearing up for TATA IPL 2023 –
Rajasthan Royals had won the title when the IPL was first played in 2008, under Shane Warne. Last year, under Sanju Samson the team had reached the finals, eventually losing to Gujarat Titans. Rajasthan Royals have kicked off practice before the start of the season.
Super Samson in full flow –
The fan page of Sanju Samson took to Instagram to show the 28 year old Rajasthan Royals skipper batting in full flow. Samson was seen using his feet to the spinners and play some huge strokes. Samson was also brutal against the fast bowler as he was seen cutting and pulling with disdain.
At one point, Sanju Samson also played a picture perfect ramp-shot. This video has now taken the viewers by storm and Samson fans cannot wait for the TATA IPL 2023 season to begin.
Shreyas Iyer had injured himself during the final test match against Australia at Ahmedabad. This meant that the 28 year old right hander had to miss the 3 match ODI series against Australia.
Cricket fans had hoped that, Sanju Samson will be called up for Shreyas Iyer. That did not happen though, as one source in the BCCI said that “Samson was still injured and recuperating in NCA”.
Aakash Chopra’s controversial remarks on Sanju Samson -
Former Indian opener, Aakash Chopra too had taken aim at Sanju Samson. In a podcast named the TRS hosted by Ranveer Allahbadia, Akash Chopra had made some comments which had angered Sanju Samson fans. Chopra, called the 28 year old a social media cult icon and also said that Samson being in the T20 World Cup side wouldn’t have made a difference. Chopra also said that Samson also knows despite his performances he will not be given much chances in the Indian team.
