Who owns RCB?

United Spirits Limited is the owner of RCB . They are the largest Indian alcoholic beverage company and the second in the world in terms of volume. United Spirits Limited is a subsidiary of Diageo, a multinational beverage alcohol company based in London. Vijay Mallya stepped down as the director of Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited (RCSPL) on the 25th of February, 2016. Currently, United Spirits is the owner of RCB.

Vijay Mallya and his companies have just 1.52% stake in USL. Diageo own 55.24% stake in it while Dutch beer giant Heineken own 46.69% stake in United Spirits Limited.

How much profit do RCB owners make from the IPL

In the fiscal period 2018-19, USL made a net profit of approximately INR 143 crores through RCB. Their earnings last season rose to INR 313 crores. Still this profit only accounts for 3% of the total profit made by UCL. However, from making 143cr to 313cr within such a short period is quite impressive.
