Athiya Shetty reacts to KL Rahul’s post on LSG’s loss to RCB

KL Rahul on Wednesday wore a dejected look as the Lucknow Super Giants dream of reaching the finals came crashing. Playing their first TATA IPL 2022, the team from Lucknow were knocked out in the first eliminator. The 14 run loss to RCB meant that the Rahul’s former team made it through to the 2nd Eliminator against RR to be played on Friday. The loss left KL Rahul speechless and downcast at the end of the game as LSG had a tournament to remember in their debut season so far.

KL Rahul’s emotional post on Instagram –

KL Rahul was the sole man standing between a win for RCB and progress into the 2nd Eliminator. The LSG skipper scored an imperious 79 before falling to Josh Hazlewood. LSG lost the game by 14 runs and were bundled out of the tournament at the Eden Gardens. Post the loss KL Rahul, took to Instagram and wrote “Inspiration all around me. A special first season comes to an end. Not the way we wanted, but we gave it absolutely everything till the very end. Thank you to the LSG family. To all our support staff, team management and Dr. Goenka. Lastly, thank you to our fans for all the love you’ve shown us over our first season”

Athiya Shetty and Sunil Shetty react to the post –

KL Rahul who is rumored to tie the knot with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty towards the end of the year, has found support from the actress and her superstar father. After KL Rahul posted this emotional message, Sunil Shetty was the first to react when he posted the emoticon of heart. Athiya too sent her support by posting three hearts.

Amazing debut season for LSG –

Lucknow Super Giants were one of the two teams that were added to this season of TATA IPL. LSG began their season well and at one point were in the top two places in the table. Rahul yet again scored over 600 runs for a season, with 2 centuries against Mumbai Indians. LSG suffered a loss in form after two back to back lossess which meant they finished 3rd in the table. KL Rahul who was released by PBKS has gone on to captain the side well and earned a lot of praises. He will be next seen leading India, in the 5 match T20 series against South Africa, which will also feature his LSG team-mate and opening partner Quinton De Kock.
