Mumbai Indians are sitting at the rock bottom of the table in the 10th place. The five time champs have played 6 games so far and and have lost all 6 games. Rohit Sharma and Mahela Jayawardene have cut a frustrated figure after the men in blue and gold haven't been able to finish games despite batting second on most occasions. On Thursday Mumbai face off against Chennai super kings at the DY Patil stadium in a bid to start their campaign. Now there are reports coming that the Mumbai Indians could be about to make a mid season signing to snap of their poor form.
Mumbai Indians to rope in a midseason signing-
Mumbai Indians are ready to make a desparate signing to stop the rot in a already floundering season. If the reports are to be believed then former Mumbai Indians pacer Dhawal Kulkarni could be drafted in as a replacement player. This could be done if any player gets injured. A newspaper recently put out a report which read "Mumbai Indians likely to rope in Dhawal Kulkarni for IPL 2022 if any of they player gets injured". Kulkarni began his IPL career with Mumbai Indians before going on to play for few others teams. Kulkarni is part of IPL 2022 albeit as a commentator.
Make or break game for Mumbai Indians-
Mumbai and Chennai are sitting in the 9th and 10th position in the table. None of the fans would have ever imagined this at the start of the season. The two teams now face off against each other on Thursday with the teams future in this season's final 4 qualification at stake. A loss for either teams could mean am early end to their IPL journey. The match will be played at the DY Patil stadium a venue where these two teams played the IPL 2010 final.
