Tuesday wasn’t a day to remember for the Sanju Samson led Rajasthan Royals side. The 2008 champs had played some high quality cricket during the league phase. Royals lack of discipline with the ball cost the first play off game and a direct entry into the finals. Despite a sublime 89 from Jos Buttler who came back to form, the RR bowlers weren’t able to stop the Titans from registering a 7 wicket win. Riyan Parag again made the headlines and yet again for all the wrong reasons once more.
The story as it happened –
Rajasthan Royals were put into bat first after GT had won the toss. It was the last over of the innings which was bowled by Yash Dayal. The left arm seamer had Jos Buttler dismissed off a no ball. The next ball he bowled it way outside the off stump and Ashwin let the ball go. Parag had charged down the wicket and Ashwin denied him a single, and the youngster from Assam was run out. This led to a mid pitch argument between the two.
Surya Kumar Yadav posts a tweet on the same –
Surya Kumar Yadav is recovering from a muscle injury he suffered during Mumbai’s game against Gujarat. This led him missing the rest of the tournament and also not being picked for the South Africa series. The 31 year old took to twitter and posted a tweet after the entire incident between Ashwin and Parag. SKY “Amazing attitude on the field #RiyanParag #RRvGT”. The tweet had a bit of sarcasm on it as many aren’t pleased with the way Parag has conducted himself on the field of play this year. Later in the game Parag was again seen to be reacting angrily at his team mate while fielding the ball.
Amazing attitude on the field 😍#riyanparag #RRvGT
