TATA IPL 2022 has been one forgettable season for Mumbai Indians. The five time champs have played 13 games and lost 10 and have won just 3. The poor form has meant that, Mumbai had already said goodbye to their hopes to reach the final four during the halfway stage of the tournament. None of elements clicked this year for Mumbai and one of the biggest disappointment was their seasoned West India all rounder Kieron Pollard. The all rounder has been warming the benches last few games as Mumbai are trying out the youngsters.

Kieron Pollard’s interaction with a fan goes viral –

Kieron Pollard has been with Mumbai Indians since 2010, when he was bought for big money. The 35 year old from Trinidad and Tobago has been one of the trusted men for Rohit Sharma ever since he took over the captaincy. KP has managed to played a huge role in every title win for Mumbai Indians, be it with the bat or ball. The West Indian was benched again against SRH on Tuesday. One fan shouted to Pollard and thanked him for all that he has done for MI so far. KP turned around and put the finger up in a bid to acknowledge the fan.

Pollard a massive part of MI –

Mumbai Indians will look to keep Pollard in their books and hope he gets back to his best next year. He has scored a mere 144 runs from the 11 matches he has played this season. His bad form has meant that Mumbai have missed the explosiveness of the 35 year old with his big hitting skills. The West Indian will also want to come back next year and prove that 2022 was just a blip in the radar and he hasn’t lost his skills with the bat. Pollard is a veteran of 189 IPL games with 3412 runs to his name. He has a strike rate of 147 and has won 5 IPL titles with MI and also 2 champions leagues.
