Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad took to the field on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium for one last time this season. The 70th game of the TATA IPL 2022 season’s league phase had no relevance as far as the play-offs was concerned. What was expected to be a relaxed encounter turned out to be a bruising one as PBKS captain Mayank Agarwal found out.
Mayank Agarwal sledges Umran Malik –
The entire drama began in the final over of the innings when Umran Malik, came out to bat. The last ball of the innings was a no-ball bowled by Nathan Ellis, which saw Bhuvneshwar Kumar get run out. This saw Umran Malik run out to the field with the bat in hand. Agarwal who was near the boundary rope was seeing having some words with the 22 year old fast bowler. Later at the end of the game Agarwal revealed what he told Malik “It's going to be sore, probably going for an X-ray now. They never expected a no-ball, so he wasn't ready. I asked him (Malik) whether he was wearing a protective gear and he shouldn't get hurt”(Quotes From CRICBUZZ).

Umran Malik leaves Mayank Agarwal decked –
It was the turn for Umran Malik to have some say in the final game of the season, when Agarwal came out to bat. The 22 year old from J and K had just dismissed Shah Rukh Khan for 19 after which the time out was taken. The first ball after the break saw Mayank Agarwal get one short rising ball at the ribs. Agarwal failed to get his bat in time on the ball and it hit his ribs. The PBSK captain was on the floor wincing in pain as SRH players asked the medical team to come out to have a check. The game was stopped for a while and Agarwal was soon out for 1 when he was dismissed by Sundar.
That's some serious pace from Umran Malik 🤯
