Watch! Suresh Raina’s batting drills leaves the fans excited and guessing

s

Suresh Raina was one of the biggest names for Indian cricket under MS Dhoni. The left hander was part of the team which won the world cup in 2011. The last time he played for India was in 2018 before being dropped from the side. Raina wasn’t part of the team which was part of the 2019 world cup. He retired from the game, the same day as MS Dhoni decided to hang up his boots on 15th August, 2020. This year Raina, wasn’t picked by CSK or any other teams for the 2022 season of IPL.

The story as it happened –

Suresh Raina the former Indian middle order batsman has picked up the bat yet again. He joins the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir who have announced their returns to the game. Gambhir will be playing in the Legends League of Cricket. The future of Yuvraj Singh isn’t clear as to where he is headed. Raina posted a short 10 second clip on Twitter. He could be seen coming down the track and playing his patented inside out shot. Raina wrote on twitter “nothing beats the feeling of when I’m on the field. Had the best time on the ground”

Return to IPL?

Suresh Raina in terms of Age is still pretty young as he is just 35 and can at least play a few more years of cricket. Raina turns 36 this November and could be angling for a move to make a comeback to the Indian premier league. Raina last played for CSK during their title winning season in 2021. He was released post the campaign and wasn’t picked during the auctions, this decision left a sour taste in the minds of the fans.

Domestic return beckons?

Raina could also feature for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare or the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy teams. The domestic white ball tournaments could get Raina into shape for the biggest T20 domestic tournament in the world and possibly attract bids.

Looking forward to the overseas leagues?

The last but most logical reason could be, Raina could bid goodbye to the IPL and Indian domestic cricket and look to play the overseas leagues. The UAE league or the CSA T20 league could be possible destinations for the stylish left hander from UP. One thing is for sure, Raina’s entry back on the field will get a lot of fans excited for sure.
