IPL 2023: Watch! Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill’s banter which has created a storm

Ahmedabad was the venue as Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans took on each other on Tuesday. The game was a little milestone as this was the game that marked the half way stage of the tournament. Gujarat Titans, in the end came out trumps and beat Mumbai Indians with a comprehensive margin. The win has taken Gujarat Titans 2nd on the points table along side Chennai as run rate separates the two teams.

“Boys” Moment featuring Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill –

Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill get on like house on fire. The two have opened batting for India in recent times with each other. Both the players have also scored double centuries in ODI cricket in recent times.

On Tuesday morning, Ishan Kishan was seen waiting for Shubman Gill and playfully slapped the Titans opener. The two shared a light moment before Gill, was seen giving a slap to the back of the head of Ishan Kishan.


Shubman Gill returns back to form –

Speaking about the performances on the field, Shubman Gill had begun TATA IPL season with few good scores. Gill, on Tuesday came back to roaring form with 56 off 34 balls with 7 fours and a six in his knock. The 23 year old was out for a duck in the previous game.

Ishan Kishan’s inconsistent form continues –

Chasing 208 to win, Mumbai Indians wanted a brisk start from their openers, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. That did not happen as the opening bowlers for Gujarat Mohammad Shami and Hardik Pandya kept a tight leash.

Ishan Kishan struggled against Shami with the new ball. Kishan scored 13 off 21 balls with a four before holing out to Rashid Khan as he was caught by Joshua little. Mumbai Indians lost the game by 55 runs and find themselves 8th in the table.

Busy few days ahead for both the players –

After the win against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, Gujarat will next play at the Eden Gardens. The afternoon game will see the Kolkata Knight Riders take on Gujarat Titans. The Mumbai Indians will be facing off against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday in a must win encounter for the 5 time champions.
