IPL 2023: Watch! Virat Kohli’s reaction after huge win over Rajasthan Royals

Y

Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday completed 112 run win over Rajasthan Royals. The win came at the right time for the team in Bangalore after they were in search of a win to keep their top 4 hopes alive. Rajasthan Royals were in for a shock on Sunday afternoon as the team was all out for 59 to record the 3rd ever lowest total in the history of TATA IPL.

The story as it happened –

Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled out Rajasthan Royals for 59 as Wayne Parnell, Karn Sharma, Mohammad Siraj, Michael Bracewell and Glenn Maxwell did the trick with the ball. Shimron Hetmyer with 35 and Joe Root with 10 were the only double digit scorers as the Royals had a day to forget with the bat.

Virat Kohli has his say post the win –

It was happy scenes in the RCB dugout as the team took one more step closer to reaching the top 4. Virat Kohli was specially in joyous mood as he was heard saying “if I had bowled then they would been all out for 40”. The shot selection from the Royals was bad as both Buttler and in-form batter Jaiswal were out for a duck.

Important games ahead for Royal Challengers Bangalore –

With the tournament into its final week, Royal Challengers Bangalore now face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. A win in both games will give Bangalore 16 points and a chance to make it to the top 4 as they also have a positive run rate post the thumping 112 run win.

Rajasthan Royals hanging by the thread –

Sanju Samson and his men on the other hand face an early exit after dominating the tournament in the 1st phase. Just a few games ago, Royals were at the top of the table after a win at home against Chennai. With the loss on Sunday, Rajasthan now need to win their final game of the season and hope a few other results their way.
