Watch! Shubman Gill recreates iconic ‘Roadies’ interview with Ishan Kishan and Chahal

Indian cricketers are having a much deserved break after a hectic start to the year 2023. The men in blue began the year with back to back series win against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The margin of wins in both the series was the same. Rohit Sharma oversaw India win the ODI series with 3-0 results. Hardik Pandya on the other hand saw his team’s take the T20 series with 2-1 margin.

Indian trio seen re-enacting famous adventure show –

Yuzvendra Chahal is a known prankster in the team. Apart from his spin bowling, Chahal leaves people stumped with his sense of humor. A video is now doing the rounds of Chahal with Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill. The trio were spotted re-enacting one interview from hit adventure show roadies.

Chahal was seen playing the role of Raghu Ram the creator of the show, while Ishan Kishan is seen in the role of anchor and VJ, Nikhil Chinappa. In the video, Shubman Gill can be seen playing one the participants in an interview with hilarious outcome. Kishan can be seen asking Gill to slap himself to show his passion for the show.


Gill’s amazing run of form –

Speaking about Shubman Gill, the 23 year old has been in terrific form. He recently became the 5th Indian batter to score a century across all the formats. Gill scored his maiden ton during the test series against Bangladesh. In the ODI series against New Zealand he became the youngest batter to score an ODI double ton.

Gill, then became the 7th Indian batter to score an T20I century as he blasted 126 not out against New Zealand in the final T20 at Ahmedabad. This was also the highest score for an Indian batter in T20I cricket bettering the 122 by Virat Kohli.  

Ishan Kishan in line to make his test debut –

India and Australia face off each other in less than a week in the 1st test at Nagpur. One player who is likely to make his test debut is none other Ishan Kishan. The 24 year old could be seen wearing the whites to replace his best friend, Rishabh Pant who is out of action. Pant met with a serious accident towards the end of the year in 2022 and is expected to miss better part of 2023. Kishan hasn’t been in good form with the bat after his 210 in the final ODI against Bangladesh.

Roadies is a product of MTV and has been one of the biggest reality shows to hit the Indian TV screens. The show is about 13-14 youngsters travelling in bikes or cars and doing tasks for either prize money or getting the keys of the car or bike towards the end of the show.
