Before last Sunday’s clash against Delhi it was reported that KL Rahul had taken ill with stomach ailment and was taken to the hospital, his best friend Mayank Agarwal led the side and scored a blistering 99 yet Punjab lost the game to see the Delhi team win the game with ease and go top of the table. Seeing Rahul out of the side one crazy fan who happens to be a student where Rahul’s father teaches shot out a mail to him. KL Rahul’s career in a nutshell –
KL Rahul made all the right noises when he started to score big runs for Karnataka in the domestic circuit, based on the tall scores Rahul made his test match debut for India during the tour of Australia and played in MS Dhoni’s final test at Melbourne. Since then Rahul has established himself as one of the senior members of the Indian side and is now looking to make his comeback into the test match team where has not played a red ball game for more than 2 years now and has seen his opening spot being taken by the likes of Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill. The 29 year old right handed batsman will hope to catch the flight to UK and make a notable impression in whites if he is given a chance to play the longest format of the game once again.
