
India have unearthed another fast bowling talent with Prasidh Krishna making fast strides in the minds of the fans and opposition as the 25 year old made his debut for India during the opening One Day International against England at Pune which India won by 66 runs. Prasidh Krishna grabbed four wickets in his first game and recorded the best figures by an Indian bowler on ODI debut. The impressive debut by the 25 year old from Karnataka has a huge Australian influence which played a role in the fast bowler accounting of the four wickets.

The year 2017 saw Mumbai cricketer Tushar Deshpande who has played IPL and Prasidh Krishna with two other players go to Australia for a camp. Here is where Krishna met the legendary Jeff Thompson who was known as one of the fastest bowlers of his generation and is a true cricketing legend. Prasidh Krishna had trained at the Cricket Australia Academy in Queensland Brisbane.

Speaking after his son’s debut the proud father said “Prasidh started playing at the age of 11 and did well in school cricket as an all-rounder. At the age of 14, he became serious about fast bowling. The family has supported him in his endeavours. He is a huge fan of Brett Lee and likes to bowl fast and with fire like him. And, he loves masala dosa”
