Hardik Pandya is one of the most important members of the squad for Virat Kohli in the international circuit and Rohit Sharma in the IPL for Mumbai Indians. The 27 year old from Baroda has been shying away from bowling in the recent past after his run in with injuries which has made him to be played as a specialist batsman in the shorter formats of the game. Pandya who had a fairytale start to his test career hasn’t played a 5 day format for the last 2 and half years because of his inability to bowl. Even though Pandya was part of the Indian test squad for the recent series against England he couldn’t find a spot in the playing XI. In what comes as a major relief too many Indian fans, Hardik Pandya recently posted a short video of his net session.

Hardik Pandya took to twitter to post a small video of himself having a bat in the net and he was in full flow showing his full repertoire of batting shots that will make the Indian cricket fans happy. One of the most pleasing visuals was Hardik Pandya bowling which seen towards the end of the clip, the 27-year-old can be seen bowling off a shorter run-up will have both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma looking with glee.
Former Indian selector notices the change
Former Indian player and selector Devang Gandhi noted a change in the action of Pandya and stated “It seems that he has reduced the length of his jump and in turn the stride is shorter. If you have a big jump, automatically, your stride will be longer and there will be more pounding on landing” a fit and firing Pandya with the ball can be a welcome relief as 27 year old has the ability to bowl the heavy ball and hurry the batsman with his pace. The biggest moment for Pandya with the ball came during the tour of England in 2018 when he picked 5 wickets in one session to bowl out the strong English batting line up.
