Match Number 6- April 14, 2021
Venue – MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai
Time – 1930 PM IST
Likely Playing Conditions –
Chennai has been playing true to its nature as spin has held its sway and batting has been a bit difficult in the early part of the tournament. The ground will see no turnaround time as they play host for a second consecutive day after yesterday’s game between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders which saw Mumbai comeback to win by ten runs after KKR lost their way in the chase.
Likely XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore –
Virat Kohli (Captain), Devdutt Padikkal, AB De Villiers (WK), Glenn Maxwell. Dan Christian, Shahbaz Ahmed, Washington Sundar, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal
Likely XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad –
David Warner (Captain), Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T. Natarajan
Likely Star Performers with the bat-
The top four of the Royal Challengers Bangalore will again be looked at with keen interest by the fans as Padikkal who has been in good form with the bat in the domestic circuit would love to carry on the good form along with skipper Kohli and the explosive talents of ABD and Glenn Maxwell at number three and four. For Hyderabad David Warner could do the star turn along with Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey with the latter two batsmen both scoring half centuries in the first game against KKR.
Likely Star Performers with the ball –
Yuzvendra Chahal could play a huge role with the ball as the Chennai wicket has shown its ability to take turn right from the start of the game. Rashid Khan will no doubt be the main weapon for David Warner to look upto. Don’t count out Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Natarajan as they have ability to change the pace of the ball and bowl as per the situations.
Players to tread caution with –
For RCB one has to be cautious with Kyle Jamieson, although he was impressive in his debut game he has the penchant to go for runs with the ball.
For SRH the fans have to tread caution with Vijay Shankar as the Chennai lad has been prone to inconsistency in his game with the bat and ball.
