Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders yesterday played an entertaining game of cricket which saw the KKR fight back from a position where they seemed dead and buried at one point when they were placed at 31 for 5. Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik and Pat Cummins later came out and started to dominate the bowling attack and nearly did the impossible especially Pat Cummins making a fist of the chase with a 30 run over against Sam Curran.

KKR won the toss and chose to bowl first but did not expect Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis to tear the KKR bowler to shreds. Faf Du Plessis who has been with Chennai for a long time put all his experience to play as he scored 95 not out. With the score 151 for 1 Prasidh Krishna who has just made his India debut bowled a loopy knee length full toss which the batsman missed instead of tendering an apology he was seen mouthing off at the CSK batsman. The next ball Krishna bowled a slower ball and Du Plessis was quick to gauge the length and ramped it for four runs to show the youngster the class he has and also teach him a lesson in humility.

Faf Du Plessis was all class in the way he responded to the verbal of Prasidh Krishna but Twitter came out in full force to talk about what had transpired. One user said “that’s one thing Prasidh cant Faf about.. beating Faf Du Plessis” while another user wrote “ how many of you noticed thookudurai #faf reaction to Prasidh Krishna’s bowling” CSK and Faf Du Plessis had a night to remember as they won the game by 18 runs despite strong resistance from KKR and went top of the table and will be one of the joint favorites early in the tournament along with RCB to have a crack at the IPL title.
