Gujarat became the first team to make the play-offs this season and are set to lock horns with Rajasthan Royals. The first game of the play-off will be played on Tuesday 24th May at the Eden Gardens at Kolkata. Released by SRH at the end of the season, Rashid Khan has shown his class not only with the ball, but also with the bat. Ahead of the huge game on Tuesday, a fan put up a tweet where he compared Rashid Khan to Jethalal. The central character from the famous comedy soap Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah. The user took to twitter and wrote “Rashid Khan stop copying our Legend Jethiya”. This prompted Gujarat Titans official twitter handle to write “Any Similarity to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental”

Rashid Khan began his IPL career in 2017 with Sunrisers Hyderabad and was a huge weapon for both David Warner and Kane Williamson. In 76 games for SRH he had scored 222 with the bat while he had picked 93 wickets for the men in orange. Rashid Khan was one of the 3 draft picks once Gujarat formally gained entry into IPL, along with Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill. This year Khan has played 14 games and picked 18 wickets with the ball so far at an economy rate of 6.95 with a best of 4/24. Gujarat Fans will hope for the magician from Afghanistan to turn on his magic and win them the title in their debut year.
