TATA IPL 2022 season is drawing to a close as rajasthan royals take on Gujarat Titans. The final between the two teams is to be played on Sunday at the Narendra Modi stadium. Post the IPL the eyes of the Indian fans will be on the hectic international cricket season ahead. The Indian team is set to take on South Africa in a five game T20 series. Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli and many more Senior players have been rested for the series. Former English captain Michael Vaughan has made a huge statement about one Indian players future.

Virat Kohli needs to take a break according to Michael Vaughan-

One of the biggest disappointing players this year in the IPL. The former Indian captain scored just two half centuries during the season with both of it coming against Gujarat Titans. Kohli who scored three golden ducks this season was asked by former Indian coach Ravi Shastri to take a break or quit the IPL during the middle phase of the tournament. Now former England captain Michael Vaughan too has had his say about the future of Virat Kohli and his playing career. While speaking to Cricbuzz , he said "he is a legendary player who is going through a phase that is not too easy. Two or three years ago, you just turned on the telly or arrived at the ground and you knew Virat Kohli was going to score a hundred. He just went through one of those periods where everytime he batted he seemed to get a 100. Its a career isn't it? You don't go through your whole career, where everything is so easy. He just needs a breather, go get some time with your family, get on the plane to England and then start to hit some balls again"

Kohli looking to win silverware for India-

Virat Kohli last scored a century against Bangladesh in 2019. He scored 136 at the Eden gardens at Kolkata in India's first ever pink ball test match. Since then he has struggled to get some runs on the board. He even stepped down from the captaincy for India across all formats of the game, while also stepping down as the RCB skipper. Kohli isn't part of the five match T20 series against South Africa which is to be played post the IPL. He will feature for India during the tour of England in July. Kohli had stated he wants to win the Asia Cup and the T20 world cup for India to be played later this year.
