Sachin Tendulkar breaks his silence on Arjun Tendulkar –

Mumbai Indians had a season to forget as they finished last in table with mere 4 wins from 14 games. The five time champs had already exited the tournament after losing first eight matches in a row. Everyone expected Arjun Tendulkar to make his debut for Mumbai Indians but was seen warming the benches. Speaking about this Sachin Tendulkar while speaking on a show called SachinSight said This is a different question. What I am thinking or what I feel is not important. The season is already over. And my conversation with Arjun has always been that the path is going to be challenging, it is going to be difficult. You started playing cricket because you are in love with cricket, continue to do so, continue to work hard and results will follow. And if we speak about selection, I have never involved myself in selection. I leave all these things to the (team) management because that is how I have always functioned”

Mumbai expected to make changes ahead of the next season –

Mumbai Indians haven’t qualified for the play-offs for two years in a row, and this year they had been abysmal to say the least. The five time champs were expected to do well since they were playing in their familiar territory of Maharashtra. The men in blue and gold though found the going tough as they lost 10 games and won just four to stay rooted at the bottom of the table. While it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Mumbai as they found a few match winners. Two youngsters in Tilak Varma and Dewald Brevis gave a sneak peek into the future with their assured batting. Another name to emerge during the dying stages of the tournament was that of Tim David. The 25 year old Singapore born Australian showed his prowess with the bat and his big hitting to give Mumbai something to build. Mumbai will be making some changes with few players like Murugan Ashwin, Tymal Mills, Sanjay Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat on the chopping ahead of the next season.
