Rajasthan Royals have played some amazing cricket as they have reached the final to be played 29th May. They will face Gujarat Titans in the final as the home team in their debut season play their biggest game in the biggest stadium in the world. Rajasthan on Friday beat RCB in the 2nd eliminator by 7 wickets with Jos Buttler scoring his 4th century of the season. Ahead of the big game on Sunday, former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has made some controversial comments which has angered a lot of fans.

Sanjay Manjrekar slams Ashwin yet again –

Ravichandran Ashwin has been one of the star players with the bat and ball for Sanju Samson this season. The veteran Indian spinner has played well this season and has shown his talents. This hasn’t impressed Sanjay Manjrekar who has made some strong observations about the 35 year old. Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Manjrekar said Ravichandran Ashwin is a problem for RR on flat tracks as he tries a lot of variations. He bowls fewer off-spinners on such occasions. But when there is a turn, then he becomes a dangerous bowler. RR will benefit if the pitch is favourable for spinners as Chahal and Ashwin will bowl in tandem

Exceptional season for Ashwin –

It has been one of the best seasons for Ashwin in the IPL format. The 35 year old has played 16 games and picked 12 wickets this season. With the bat, he has scored 185 runs with one fifty and has an average of 30 and a strike rate of 146. Ashwin will be playing an IPL final for the 4th time, with the previous 3 times being with the CSK outfit. He has won IPL twice in 2010 and 2011 and will hope to win it with RR for the 3rd time in his career. He has formed a great partnership with Chahal and has been a go to player for Sanju Samson this season. Ashwin would want to end the season on a high and have his hands on the richest prize in domestic T20 tournaments.
