TATA IPL 2022 season hasn’t been an easy one for Mumbai Indians team or its fans. The five time champions were so off the pace that they had been dumped out of the play-off race at the mid-way point of the season. Rohit Sharma and his men finished the season off in style when they beat Delhi on Saturday. This win gave the fans something to cheer about in an otherwise dismal season. The win also meant that RCB, went through to the play-offs ahead of Delhi Capitals.
Arjun Tendulkar’s season on the bench –
One of the biggest sights the Mumbai Indians fans were waiting to see is one Arjun Tendulkar don the Mumbai Indians jersey. The left arm seam bowler, is the son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Arjun Tendulkar, 22 had been warming the benches all season and there were hopes he would be play the final game against Delhi.

Sara Tendulkar is a name and face that every Indian and Mumbai Indians fans knows well. She has been part of every game as a fan and she came out in support of her brother. Sara, took to Instagram and posted a picture of her brother Arjun with a heart. She had put the song “Apna Time Aayega” From the movie Gully Boy. Arjun Tendulkar, could be seen downcast near the boundary ropes in the Mumbai Indians training bib during the game against Delhi.
Mumbai Indians spoil Delhi’s party –
Coming into the final game of the season, Delhi Capitals knew they had to beat Mumbai to reach the final. Batting first the Rishabh Pant led side scored 159 on the board despite the early losses of some of their in-form batsmen. Pant and Powell played a huge part in reaching the total. Mumbai lost their captain for 13 ball 2, before Brevis and Kishan came to the rescue. It was former RCB boy Tim David, with 11 ball 34 that changed the course of the game as Mumbai won by 5 wickets. The game was also famous for Pant not taking a DRS when David had edged his first ball behind to Pant.
