TATA Indian Premier League is a land of opportunities and the players who play in it not only get to showcase their talents, but also earn a lot of money. For many players the league has been a stepping stone to success as it has catapulted them into the Indian team. on the flip side though, the league can be unforgiving and the fall can be as quick as the rise to the top. In this list we look at six players who were once part of the league but now are being used as net bowlers.

Yarra Prithviraj – (Played for KKR and Net bowler for MI)-

Making his debut for KKR in 2018, the left arm pace bowler is known to have good amount of pace and bounce. The youngster played 2 games for KKR and picked up a single wicket. The talented pacer is now part of the Mumbai Indians as a net bowler, hopefully he can be part of the league next year as he can bowl at good speeds and with good bounce.

Barinder Sran – (RR, PBKS, SRH, MI and Net bowler for Gujarat Titans) –

Making his debut in early 2016, there was lot of expectations around Sran becoming the next left arm pace ace. But that was a short blip and the journey was over before it began. Sran made his IPL debut in 2015 and played his last game in 2019. He is know a net bowler with the Titans and seems to be a forgotten member of Indian cricket.

Kanishk Seth – (CSK and net bowler for KKR)

24 year old left arm seam bowler from Kolkata was part of the Chennai team in 2018 but did not play a game. Known to be a good swing bowler with decent pace, Seth is now a net bowler for his home franchise KKR.

Mohit Sharma – (CSK, PBKS and Delhi Capitals and Net bowler for Gujarat Titans)

33 year old Mohit Sharma is one of the sadest cases of Indian cricket. After making a memorable debut with CSK he played for India under MS Dhoni. He was one of the leading wicket takers for India during the 2015 World Cup. This year the former India player is a net bowler for Gujarat Titans. Mohit played 86 games in the IPL picking 92 wickets.
