All the roads lead to the Narendra Modi Stadium at Ahmedabad as Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Rajasthan Royals. The 2nd eliminator on Friday will determine who plays the final on Sunday against Gujarat Titans. RCB played some of the best cricket in the first eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants as they scored 207 and won the game by 14 runs. The Faf Du Plessis led side are riding high on confidence ahead of the game against RR. Just ahead of the game RCB have been handed a bad news as one of the star player is in trouble.

RCB star falls foul of ICC –

Dinesh Karthik who has had a huge season for the RCB outfit has fallen in trouble with IPL. The 36 year old has faced a reprimand from the ICC after the 1st eliminator against LSG on Wednesday. The IPL statement said “ Dinesh Karthik from Royal Challengers Bangalore has been reprimanded for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s Eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 25th at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Mr. Karthik admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding”. The reason for the reprimand hasn’t been made public as yet, and it is not clear what is the motive as well.

RCB one step away from the final –

RCB have played some good cricket off late and have picked up their form at the right moment. They have peaked when the tournament has caught heat both with the bat and ball. Du Plessis will hope that Dinesh Karthik can put this behind him and continue to score runs. Even Kohli will be looking to play for the teams cause and help them reach the final on Sunday. A win over RR will not only help them reach the final but also have a crack at winning the IPL for the first time.
