Lockie Ferguson, the New Zealand pacer ensured that he would be remembered in the IPL 2022, as he bowled the fastest delivery of the season in the final match against Rajasthan Royals. The pacer from Gujarat Titans bowled a last delivery of fifth over at a speed of 157.3 kmph which broke the record of Umran Malik.
Umran gained his name in this league by bowling consistently at a pace of 150 kmph. And the performance by the player has also helped him to get a maiden Team India call-up for the upcoming T20I home series against South Africa.
When Lockie Ferguson bowled a ball that was at 157.3 kmph, Jos Buttler was on strike. The delivery was short of yorker length.
