TATA IPL 2022 is certainly going down to the wire as the 69th game of the tournament is witnessing Delhi take on Mumbai. The match has a lot of things riding on it, as a win for DC would mean RCB are out. A win for Mumbai would mean that Delhi get knocked out. The pressure cooker of a contest has seen a lot of twists and turns already and Delhi Captain Rishabh Pant has seen all the eyes on him and he seemed to have cracked under pressure.

The DRS which got away –

It was the 4th ball off 15th over, and the first one after the time out as Tim David was facing off against Shardul Thakur. The DC bowler one that left the right hander and was close to the off stump. Everyone went up for an appeal, but Rishabh Pant did not seem convinced. Shardul Thakur couldn’t believe it, as he turned away in shock. When the replays came up on the big screen it showed there was a big nick off the bat. Pant had left Tim David off the hook in the biggest game of the season for DC.

And he goes on to review the wrong one –

A few overs later, Pant was again in the firing line when Tilak Varma was struck on the pads off Nortje. The DC players went up again, and just as the timer was about to strike 0, Pant went up for the DRS. It turns out, that the ball was pitched way outside leg stump and DC lost a review. A lot of fans did not believe what they were seeing as Pant was clearly cracking under pressure and gifting the play-off spot to RCB on a platter.
