Watch! Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis hilarious post game interaction

v

Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday were a happy unit on two counts. Firstly they had won the game to stay alive in the competition. Secondly, their star batsman and former captain Virat Kohli came back to form with the bat. The RCB win meant that Punjab and Hyderabad are out of the tournament. The only team that stands between RCBโ€™s dream of reaching the top 4 is Delhi Capitals. Every RCB fan will have their eyes on the game to be played between Mumbai and Delhi on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium.

Du Plessis and Kohli have a funny banter at the end of the game โ€“

Everyone in the RCB unit had huge smiles on their faces after the 8 wicket win over Gujarat Titans. Kohli scored his 2nd half century of the season with a scintillating 73 before getting stumped by Wade off Rashid Khan. By the time Kohli was out, he had put RCB on the road to an easy win. Speaking at the end of the game to the official broadcasters Star Sports India, Kohli said โ€œTrying to put our feet up and chill out for 2 days and support Mumbai. We have 2 more supporters for Mumbai, not just 2 but I think 25 more supporters, You might see us in the stadium as well. For me, the best about batting together, opening the innings has been the experience that we have shared out there in the middle. Applying that experience to give the team starts is something that I am proud of. We just sync together very nicely from the first season itself which is a great thing for the teamโ€

Virat Kohli storms back into form โ€“

The entire world was speaking about the lack of form displayed by the former Indian and RCB captain. The 33 year old had scored just over 200 runs this season with an average under 20. Kohli also had been dismissed thrice for first ball ducks, which was something new that the fans had seen. The former India skipper looked at the heavens, but yesterday against Gujarat everything clicked. This was his 2nd fifty of the season and both his knocks of 50 plus have come against GT. Kohli at the end of the game said โ€œI think it has been a challenging time, there is no doubt about it. A lot of things that are not controllable on the field, you experience that for the first time. So I have experienced that in this season. But one thing that stood out to me about yesterday (Wednesday) was my preparation. I batted for about 90 minutes in the nets on the go. All I was trying to do was get into a positive frame of mind. For every ball that I played, I wasnโ€™t looking if the ball was seaming or swinging or turning, I was just watching the ball and reacting and giving myself the most positive option possible. I just extended that into the gameโ€
