Virat Kohli is a name that doesn’t need any introduction as the 32 year old Indian captain has developed into the best batsman in the game right now. Ever since he made his debut for India in 2008 Virat Kohli has elevated his own game to such heights that the world is left marveling at the unlimited hunger and love he has for the game. Former English skipper Kevin Pietersen recently came out and spoke about an interesting conversation he had with former Indian skipper MS Dhoni about Virat Kohli.

Pietersen reveals what Dhoni told him about Kohli –

Kevin Pietersen who himself is a modern great remembered an old conversation he had with MS Dhoni about Virat Kohli during their time together at Rising Pune Supergiants. Pietersen said “This guy (Kohli) is an absolute freak show, I remember running on a treadmill when I was playing for rising Pune Supergiants five or six years ago and it was amazing. MS Dhoni was saying ‘its one thing am fascinated to watch over the years to come is whether Virat Kohli can really keep his energy and attacking nature and excitement intact on the field’ and here we are 5-6 years later, and he is just like he was when he was a kid”

Kevin Pietersen praises and remembers the time when he captained a young Kohli at RCB-

Kevin Pietersen was one of the earliest big name players to come and play in the IPL and he had some really good things to say about Virat Kohli “that guy (Virat Kohli) is an absolute freak show. He has managed to managed to maintain his enthusiasm. He is maintaining his attacking nature. I remember captaining him at RCB and the same kid that walked around back then is the same kid we are saying now. It is spectacular to see because he sets an example which Indian cricket has followed. His diet, athletic ability, fitness, professionalism and his quest to continuously get better. He is just a hero for Indian cricket.
