Day three of the final test match between India and England is seeing some fast paced action. The 3rd day’s play caught steam with all the action on the field with the bat and ball. The non cricketing action was amazing as Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow got into the thick of action with their verbals as the umpires stepped into diffuse the situation.

The story as it happened –

England began the day at 84 for 3 still 332 runs behind India as Bairstow and Stokes took guard. The two batters displayed their new found motto of attack at all costs as they went after the Indian bowlers. During the early part of the day Kohli and Bairstow had a brief chat as the former Indian captain was animated and asked him to shut up and bat.

11th test ton for Bairstow –

Spurred on by the verbals, Bairstow cut loose and went after the Indian bowling and scored a brilliant century. This was his 3rd in 3 tests after scoring 2 in 2 against NZ. Bairstow went after every bowler as he cut, pulled and drove with ease.

Shami gets the dangerous Bairstow –

India pulled things back as they bowled few quiet overs with Bairstow still in the middle. Perhaps bored by this, Bairstow set on 106 went for a flashy drive and was caught in the slips by Kohli.

Siraj takes 4 to give India 132 run lead –

The star with the ball was Siraj who picked 4 for 66 in the first innings to give India handy lead of 132. Siraj had earlier got the key wicket of Root, and on Sunday he got ride of Billings for 36. Broad was out for 1 as he went for a huge slog only to see the ball caught by Pant. Siraj got his 4th when Iyer caught Potts in the slips for 18 ball 19 with 3 fours and a six.
