India Cricket: Round 3 results of Syed Mushtaq Ali 2022 tournament

Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament has put up some amazing results with the bat and ball in the opening 2 rounds. The 3rd round on Friday was no exception as more runs were scored with a huge hundred by Prithvi Shaw. There were some upsets too as the third round results will show.

Uttarakhand vs MP –

Defending Ranji Trophy Champions, MP lost by 50 runs to Uttarakhand in one of the earliest matches on Friday. Uttarakhand batted 1st and scored 194/2 on the board. Piyush Joshi with 56 and Kunal Chandela with 59 were top scorers, A. Tare (35) and A. Sudha (38) were the other scorers. Venkatesh Iyer (42) and Rajat Patidar (23) were the top scorers for MP who finished with 144/9 from their 20 overs.

Uttarakhand win by 50 runs

Tripura vs Punjab –

Wriddhiman Saha top scored with 62 off 55 balls, while D. Khatri (25) and S. Ghosh (20) saw Tripura score 118/7. Abhishek Sharma was the sole wicket down for 34 as Prabhsimran Singh with 57* and P. Mann 21* helped Punjab win by 9 wickets

Meghalaya vs Karnataka –

V. Vijaykumar with 3/5 led the bowling onslaught for Karnataka as they bundled out Meghalaya for mere 89 with Larry Sangma top scoring with 34. Devdutt Padikkal was out for a duck, but Mayank Agarwal 47* and Manish Pandey 42* ensured a win by 9 wickets for Karnataka.

Tamil Nadu vs Sikkim –

Defending champs, Tamil Nadu bowlers namely their spinners did the trick as they bowled out Sikkim for mere 79. Jagadeesan with 58* saw TN coast to a 9 wicket win with 62 balls to spare.

Jharkhand vs Chandigarh –

Ishan Kishan scored just 12 on his return to domestic cricket as Jharkhand could score mere 106. A. Bharadwaj with 30 and V. Singh with 21 were the top scorers. Manan Vohra with 72* saw Chandigarh win by 9 wickets with 15 balls to spare.

Saurashtra vs Nagaland –

Samarth Vyas for the 2nd game in a row scored 97 as Saurashtra scored a massive 203/5. Pujara was the 2nd top scorer with 62 off 35 balls. Chetan Bisht top scored with 33* as Nagaland could score mere 106/5 from their 20 overs.

HP vs Bihar –

S. Varma top scored with 50 as decent batting contributions saw HP score 179/7. P, Chopra (32), Raghav Dhawan (23), Rishi Dhawan (22) and A. Vashist (35) were the contributors. Sakibul Gani with 48 and Bipin Saurabh with 40 saw their efforts fall short as Bihar lost the game.

Kerala vs Haryana –

Jayant Yadav with 39 and Sumit Kumar 30 helped Haryana reach 131 on the board. Sanju Samson could score mere 3, but Vishnu Vinod and K. Rohan scored 25 and 26 each. Haryana made a comeback with Yadav and Tewatia doing the damage with the ball. Number 8 batter Abdul Basith with 27* helped Kerala to a 3 wicket win.

UP vs Delhi –

Uttar Pradesh coasted to an easy win as Delhi could score only 99 all out. KKR player Nitish Rana top scored with 45 while his KKR team Shivam Mavi with 4/14 was the destroyer with the ball. UP skipper, Karan Sharma 52 and A. Nath with 31 saw the team to an easy win.

Mumbai vs Assam –

Captain Prithvi Shaw led from the front as he scored 63 ball 134 with 13 fours and 9 sixes. Jaiswal 42 was the other top scorer as Mumbai scored huge 230 on the board. Assam saw R. Ahmed top score with 39 as Riyan Parag scored 28. Deshpande picked 3/25 with the ball.

Mumbai win the game by 61 runs

Vidarbha vs Mizoram –

S. Dubey 49 and 19 ball 43 by Jitesh Sharma saw Vidarbha post 192/6 from their 20 overs. Mizoram could score only 78/6 from their 20 overs to give Vidarbha a huge win.

Vidarbha win the game by 114 runs

Manipur vs Pondicherry –

Pondicherry lost the game by a close margin while chasing 126 run target set by Mizoram. KP Singh top scored with 58 off 39 balls as Mizoram scored 125 after batting 1st. V. Marimutthu with 45 was the top score for Pondicherry with, P. Sivaram 34* trying to give Pondicherry a late push for a win.

Arunachal Pradesh vs Services –

N. Tempol’s 29 was the top score as Arunachal could manage only 75 on the board. Anshul Gupta 38* and GR Singh 33* saw Services to an easy win.

Bengal vs Odisha –

Abhishek Raut was the top scorer for Odisha as the skipper struck 24 from 21 balls. Mukesh Kumar with 3/12 was the destroyer in chief as Odisha was bowled out for 86. Skipper A. Eeswarana with 37* saw Bengal win the game with 5 overs to spare.

Baroda vs Gujarat –

Krunal Pandya was the star with the bat with 57 for Baroda who scored 153 all out. Varun Aaron and Lukman Meriwala picked 2 wickets each before Ninad Rathva got 3 wickets. Priyank Panchal was the top scorer with 44 as Gujarat eked out a close win.

Maharashtra vs Jammu and Kashmir –

Abdul Samad struck 55 off 33 balls as he was supported by S. Khajuria with 44 to help J and K post 175. Rahul Tripathi with 59 and Pavan Shah 51 saw Maharashtra win the close game. Umran Malik was the lead pacer with 4/27 for J and K.

Hyderabad vs Goa –

Tilak Varma with 62 off 46 balls and T. Agarwal with 46 helped Hyderabad reach 177/6. Arjun Tendulkar picked 4/10 with the ball. Ravi Teja with 4/20 helped Hyderabad win the game after Goa was all out for 140.

Hyderabad won the game by 37 runs

Railways vs Rajasthan –

Mahipal Lomror with 50 and S. Joshi with 39 saw Rajasthan reach 167/6 on the board. Chasing 168, S. Chaudhary with 70 off 55 balls was the top scorers for Railways. Aniket Chaudhary picked 3 wickets while Khaleel Ahmed with 2 and Ravi Bishnoi and Nagarkotti picked a wicket each.

Rajasthan win the game by 8 runs
