India won the toss and chose to bat first, as KL Rahul was standing as the captain of the Indian side for the injured Rohit Sharma. The eyes of the Indian fans was on Kohli after his return to form in the white ball format.

Kohli fails yet again –

KL Rahul failed to fire yet again as he fell for 22 bowled by Khaled Ahmed. This got Kohli to the middle. After playing 4 balls, the former India skipper faced Taijul Islam. The left arm spinner got one to turn and he got Kohli trapped right in front for 1.

Kohli went up for the DRS as it turned out to be a futile one with all 3 reds being displayed. Kohli scored his last century against the same team over three years ago at Kolkata when he scored 136.

Iyer was out for 86 at the start of day two when he saw his off pole take a walk off the bowling of Ebadot Hossain.

Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav frustrate Bangladesh –

Post the wicket of Iyer, it was Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav who added 92 runs for the 8th wicket. Ashwin got to his 13th half century before being stumped off Mehidy Hasan. a few minutes later Kuldeep Yadav fell for 40 when he was trapped LBW by Taijul Islam.
