Team India began their final game of the year with the 2nd test match which began on Thursday. India, came into the game armed with a 1-0 lead at the Sher-E-Bangla stadium at Dhaka. KL Rahul had won his 1st test as the Indian test skipper after the 188 run win at Chittagong
India, were coming into the game without Rohit Sharma yet again as the Indian captain was ruled out after getting injured during the 2nd ODI. The match is also important for India, considering the World Test Championship points on offer.
Kuldeep Yadav left out –
Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first on a pitch which had a bit of green tinge to it. The home team made two changes with Mominul Haque replacing Yasir Ali, while Taskin Ahmed came in for Ebadot Hossain.
The Indian team too made a change and this really surprised a lot of people. Jaydev Unadkat, who played his only test 12 years ago, came in for Kuldeep Yadav. India had opted to play 3 seamers in Umesh Yadav, Siraj and Unadkat.
Man of the match in the 1st test –
Kuldeep played the 1st test and took 8 wickets in the game scored 40 crucial runs with the bat. Yadav picked career best 5/40 in the 1st innings to pave the way for India to bowl out Bangladesh for just 150.
In the 2nd innings it was Kuldeep who got the big wicket of Shakib AL Hasan for 84. The Bangladeshi captain was counter attacking and making India uncomfortable when Yadav bowled him while Shakib went for a slog.
Recurring theme in his career –
Kuldeep Yadav made his test debut in early 2017 against Australia at Dharamsala. Yadav famously picked a five wicket haul in early 2019 during the SCG test. Post that he had to wait for 2 years to play a test match. Yadav played the 2nd test at Chennai during the 2021 series versus England. Kuldeep had to wait for nearly another 2 years before playing the Chittagong test.
Twitter slams Indian team management –
Former India pacer, Dodda Ganesh was amazed after Kuldeep Yadav’s axing and took to twitter to write his view. Ganesh wrote, “why does this happen so often to Kuldeep Yadav? You cant be doing this to him again and again. Please someone put an arm around his shoulder and tell him not to lose heart. Yes, its tough being Kuldeep Yadav. Spare a thought for him”
Make no mistake... Not selecting Kuldeep Yadav, who scored valuable 40 runs and 8 wickets in the first Test match is the most bizarre selection 🙏#KuldeepYadav pic.twitter.com/mfxBt38Q2Y

Feel for Kuldeep Yadav. Took 8 wickets and scored the crucial 40 runs with the Man Of The Match award, but sits out in the very next match.
