The English team exhibited this show of aggression during their summer series against, New Zealand, India and South Africa to win the tests against the trio of touring teams.

The story so far –

England won the 1st test during their tour of Pakistan at Rawalpindi by 74 runs. England batting first scored 657, with 506 runs coming in the first day in 75 overs of play. This put the hosts on the backfoot right from the 1st over of the test match.

Defending 343 to win, the English bowled out Pakistan for 268 to take home the win by 74 runs. Ollie Robinson and James Anderson took 4 wickets each on the final day to help the English a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series.

Michael Vaughan takes to Twitter to bask in the glory-

Former English skipper Michael Vaughan was the captain of England when they toured Pakistan 17 years ago. He had seen his team lose the 3 match series by a 2-0 margin during the 2005 tour.

Post the 74 run win during the 1st test at Rawalpindi, the former English skipper took to Twitter to run a poll. He asked his followers to vote if the English win over Pakistan was the greatest ever test win? With the options being Yes, No and Which other?

Indian fans slam Michael Vaughan –

The Indian cricket fans did not take kindly to the poll put out by Michael Vaughan as they slammed him on the social media site. The majority of Indian fans hit out at Vaughan for putting some of the best wins in the test cricket over the last 5 decades. The Indian fans replied to the tweet by taking a dig at Vaughan and saying the Gabba win is better than the one over Pakistan. While some fans said that the Pakistan team wasn’t even fielding its best XI due to injuries and England got away lightly.
